Using Planstead

Planstead helps you organize household information, private copies, responsibilities, preferences and follow-up. These terms explain your choices and responsibilities when using the service.

Your Agreement

When you select the Terms agreement and submit account creation or the policy review form, you agree to this version. The separate Privacy acknowledgement records that the notice was presented; it does not authorize every optional use of information. Planstead stores the policy version and the time of your action.

Your agreement does not authorize subscription charges, marketing, SMS, external AI processing or a new use of health-related information. Those choices remain separate.

Account Responsibilities

Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials and use your own account. You are responsible for having the permission and legal capacity needed to use the service and submit information. Do not share passwords or send verification codes to support.

Household Records and Authority

Enter and share only information you are entitled to provide. Owner, Admin, Contributor and Viewer are application roles; they do not establish property ownership, guardianship, power of attorney or estate authority.

A recorded person or professional contact receives no automatic account access. Review invitation permissions before sharing and respect the rights of people described in the plan. Planstead does not decide family or estate disputes or automatically transfer control after a death.

Your Content

You retain the rights you hold in submitted content. To operate the features you use, Planstead needs permission to host, store, process and display that content, including through supporting service providers and your authorized sharing choices. This is limited to providing and protecting the service and meeting applicable legal obligations.

Do not submit content that infringes another person’s rights or that you have no authority to share. An export or download can create a separate copy; review it before sending it to anyone.

Educational and Organizational Boundaries

Planstead does not provide personalized legal, financial, investment, insurance, tax or medical advice. It does not create a professional relationship, execute a will, appoint a guardian, change a beneficiary, file a deed or create a medical order.

Readiness reflects information recorded here. Even a complete organizational score does not guarantee valid legal arrangements, sufficient insurance or emergency readiness. Consult the appropriate institution or qualified professional for official steps.

Acceptable Use

Do not submit unlawful material, interfere with the service, bypass access controls or attempt to access another household’s information. Do not store passwords, PINs, recovery codes, private keys, full account numbers, Social Security numbers or confidential clinical records.

Use only the information and files necessary for planning. Do not misrepresent your identity or legal authority, distribute harmful software, or use the service to harass or exploit others.

Plans and Payment Choices

Essentials is free with no card required. Creating an account does not authorize a charge or an automatic paid conversion. When paid checkout is available, the purchase screen must show the price, features, billing interval, renewal, cancellation and any refund terms before you explicitly agree. Current availability is described separately on Pricing.

Coming Later describes possible future availability, not a guaranteed date or entitlement. Review the Pricing page for current features.

Availability and Important Records

Features can change or be temporarily unavailable. Keep independent copies and required originals of important records. Do not rely on Planstead as an emergency service or the sole place to keep essential documents.

External resources have their own terms and requirements. Confirm current information with the provider, institution or professional. A listing is not a guarantee of suitability.

Ending Access and Deletion

Access may need to be restricted for misuse, security concerns or legal requirements, subject to applicable law. Account-deletion requests, household deletion and leaving a household are separate operations. A pending request is not completed deletion.

Review the available confirmations and save authorized copies before a destructive action. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to the contact above.

Intellectual Property and Legal Rights

Planstead’s software, brand and educational materials remain protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Permission to use the service does not transfer ownership of them.

Nothing on this page removes mandatory consumer rights or permits unlawful handling of information. Contact support with a concern; this does not prevent you from using remedies available under applicable law.

Changes

Changes to service terms may require notice or renewed agreement under applicable law. A terms update alone does not authorize future charges or optional sensitive-data uses.

Planning Tools and Official Data

Retirement Outlook and the Funeral & Memorial Budget use your selected inputs and stated assumptions. They do not guarantee benefits, investment returns, prices, available funding or retirement sufficiency. Official directories and filings can be incomplete or dated; confirm details directly.

Legal Operator and Contact

Planstead is currently operated by Thrive Supply LLC. Contact support@myplanstead.com about the service or these terms. A future change of legal operator requires a deliberate policy review and any notice required by law.
