Data Lifecycle & Privacy Requests

Choose the action that matches your intention, and review its actual status.

Records and Files

Editing changes a saved entry. Removing many Plan Book records archives them from the active plan while retaining history; it is not a promise of permanent erasure. A file download creates a copy outside Planstead. Contact support if a record removal has not resolved a privacy concern.

Leaving, Ownership and Household Deletion

Leaving a household removes membership access; records contributed to that household can remain. An Owner must resolve ownership before leaving. Transferring application ownership does not transfer money, property or legal authority.

Household deletion is separate from closing a login and affects that household’s records and member access. Review the exact confirmation and keep necessary authorized copies beforehand. Backups and provider-held copies require separate consideration.

Account Closure Status

The account control records a deletion request after password verification and resolution of owned households. It does not complete account deletion at submission. Data & Privacy shows the recorded request status; contact support for completion scope and any lawful retention.

Account closure, household deletion and cancellation of a subscription are separate. Current account creation does not start paid billing.

Make a Privacy Request

Email support@myplanstead.com with “Privacy request,” the type of request and a contact email. You can request access, correction, export, deletion, information about recipients or withdrawal of an optional permission. You do not need to create an account or own a household.

Do not send passwords, active verification links, full account numbers or sensitive documents in the initial message. Identity and an agent’s authority may need proportionate verification through an appropriate channel.

Shared Information and Exports

Information may describe several people. An Owner’s household export is not necessarily a complete personal rights response. Planstead must protect other people’s information when assessing access or deletion. A household Owner does not have an unrestricted veto over another person’s rights.

The household CSV ZIP includes covered database records and safe file references, not private file bytes or authentication credentials. Review it before sharing. Selectable Summary sections support a smaller planning handoff.

Retained Copies and Responses

Backups, security records, legal records and copies downloaded by recipients can have different deletion processes. Planstead does not promise instant erasure or an unverified retention period. Contact support for the actual scope and status of a request.

Requests are assessed under applicable law, including verification, exceptions, timing and any lawful extension. For an appeal, email “Privacy appeal” with the request reference. You may also contact a relevant regulator.
