Why Planstead Began
From a Family Experience to a Practical Idea.
During my grandfather’s illness and the loss that followed, I saw how quickly care decisions, local services, household responsibilities, expenses and records could become another source of work at the moment a family had the least capacity for it.
Important information lived in different places and with different people. Finding care options, understanding who was handling what and locating financial information all took time and energy.
That experience shaped a simple idea: planning ahead should make life easier for the people you care about.
