Privacy Notice

How Planstead handles information through its website, household planning application and support interactions.

About This Notice

This notice explains how Planstead handles information through household planning, account access and support. It also covers people whose details are added to a plan even if they have no account.

Information You Provide

Account information includes email, authentication information, account status, memberships and roles. Household information includes people, relationships, dependents, contacts, property, financial references, insurance, beneficiaries, document references, responsibilities, wishes, reviews and tasks.

Private uploads include the documents and media you choose to store, together with associated file metadata. Support messages and screenshots can also contain personal information. Submit only information you have permission or legal authority to provide, and use the minimum needed.

Policy records include the policy type, exact version and text fingerprint, effective date, time, and the account action where acceptance or acknowledgement was recorded. We do not infer historical agreement from existing household records.

Health and Care Information

Care preferences, assistance needs, health-related insurance references, medical decision-makers and planning notes may reveal information about health or care. Uploaded files may contain it too. This information can be sensitive even when it is not a clinical record.

Planstead uses relevant recorded details for the care-planning organization you request and for authorized household access. A household role or family relationship does not by itself authorize another adult’s health-data collection or sharing. Do not add another person’s optional health details without the necessary permission or legal authority.

You can contact support with “Health privacy request” to ask about access, correction, recipients, withdrawal of an optional permission or deletion. You need not have an account. Applicable rights and exceptions depend on the law governing the request. Do not include detailed medical information in an initial email.

Technical and Operational Records

Hosting and authentication services handle technical records such as request times, IP and browser information, errors and security events. Planstead also records limited account and household lifecycle events, including registration and onboarding milestones.

Optional public website visitor analytics, product marketing email and SMS remain disabled. Necessary hosting, authentication, security and limited lifecycle records continue to support the service. Current payment-service availability is described separately; creating an account does not authorize payment collection.

Sources and Purposes

Information comes from you, authorized household participants, your browser, supporting providers and people contacting support. Planstead uses it to provide accounts and household workspaces, organize records, calculate organizational readiness, support reviews, control access, provide available exports, deliver authentication email and troubleshoot the service.

Recorded facts and suggested actions do not establish legal validity or financial or medical suitability. A public resource link does not itself give that resource provider access to your household.

Public Data Searches and Planning Calculations

Official directory searches send the public query and selected filters to the relevant source through Planstead. These can include a provider name, institution, or general town, state or ZIP. Care searches can reveal a care interest. Saved references become household planning records; they do not contact the provider.

Retirement Outlook and Funeral & Memorial Budget calculations run from inputs you choose. Inputs and selected scenarios may be saved to your household. These tools do not connect to financial accounts, send your plan to an external AI service, or decide benefit eligibility.

Recipients and Access

Household members can access information according to their permissions. A person listed in a plan is not automatically a member. Review permissions before sharing. People who download or export information may retain a separate copy.

Service providers process information needed for application hosting, authentication, the database, private files and authentication-email delivery. The current Service Providers section identifies these functions and providers. A planned provider is not described as an active processor before activation. Support communications are processed through the support channel you choose.

Ordinary support access is limited by the tools and permissions provided. Authorized technical personnel may separately access infrastructure for operational, security, recovery or legal needs. Planstead does not claim that stored information is inaccessible to all personnel.

Legal Requests and Service Changes

Information may be disclosed where required by law or valid legal process, or as applicable to investigating abuse, protecting people or defending legal rights. Legal obligations can limit notice to an affected person.

Changes in the operation or ownership of a service do not remove applicable privacy obligations. A new notice alone is not a substitute for affirmative permission where law requires it.

Cookies and Local Preferences

Necessary cookies and browser storage support authentication, security and selected preferences. Blocking them may prevent sign-in or other functions. The separate fictional interactive preview may retain practice information in your browser; use fictional details only.

The visitor-analytics preference below applies to this browser and can be reset by clearing browser storage. It does not change operational processing or preferences on another device.

Retention and Deletion

Information can remain while needed for the service, security, resolving disputes or applicable legal obligations. Record removal, household deletion and account closure are distinct operations. Submitting an account-deletion request is not confirmation that deletion is complete.

Shared records may involve more than one person. Deleting a login does not necessarily remove all references supplied by another household. Copies in backups, security or legal records and authorized downloads may follow different processes. Contact support for the scope and status of a deletion request; no instant deletion or fixed backup-erasure time is promised here.

Privacy Requests and Rights

You may ask to access, correct, export or delete information about you, clarify recipients, or withdraw an optional permission. Rights, verification requirements, exceptions and applicable response periods depend on the law governing your request. You do not need to create an account to contact us.

Tell us the request type and an email where we can reach you. Do not send credentials, full account numbers or sensitive documents in the initial message. Verification must protect other people’s information as well as yours. If you disagree with a response, reply with “Privacy appeal” and the request reference. You may also contact the relevant privacy regulator or attorney general.

Other People, Children and Locations

Use only information you are entitled to provide about relatives, dependents or other people. Do not assume that household ownership establishes authority over another person’s information. Report an unauthorized submission or account through the privacy contact.

Providers may process information in the United States and other locations used to deliver their services. Planstead does not promise that all email, support, logs and subprocessors remain in a single region.
